Curling Hair.
Spiral curls:
To start, hold the tongs upright. Grip the hair at the tip/ end of the section and clamp onto the tongs. Begin to roll the tongs upward towards the head wait a few seconds then press the clamp to release the hair. Pin the curl against the head while hot to make sure it cools to a perfect pin curl/ ringleted shape. Repeat the process until whole head is curled.

Tong Curls:
A less frequently used technique that gives more volume to the curls and hair. Hold the tongs higher than head so that as the curls roll down the volume stays in the hair. Leave in hair for ten seconds. Again, pin the curls to the head. Once released run the fingers through the curls. Add extra body by tipping the model's head upside-down.
