Initial Ideas

Initial Ideas for my project brief.

 

This particular GIF was taken from Tumblr and is from  the recent movie I watched as context for the Elizabethan project. I think  the gold ribbons in the hair create an interesting texture to the hairstyle. It has a crown like effect and the twisted tendrils of hair creates a look that is suitable for the era. I like the gold running through the hair and this has me thinking about the next stage of designing and how i can then incorporate this into my design process. 

 I also found this image on Tumblr. I chose it because I like the idea of the original style of elizabethan hair with a very contemporary and modern looking hair colour. An issue I would have when creating this look would be the hair colour itself as i would have to find a model with a modern coloured hair style to begin with, or someone willing to change the colour of there hair just for my design, which is unlikely. I will continue to try and think of ways i can avoid this problem.

This final image, also taken from Tumblr. I chose this picture purely because of the neutral look and the monochromatic style of the clothing, hair and makeup. I am really interested in using a modern day hair colour with a a style from the elizabethan era as it will create an edgy and interesting concept that I think will be different from my peers hair styles and ideas.
